Consultation with Hansung University, South Korea

A delegation from Hansung University in Seoul visited Obuda University. Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács held discussions with Prof. Dr. Changwon Lee, President of Hansung University, and Kyudok Hong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Hungary, regarding potential collaborations. Like Obuda University, Hansung University places significant emphasis on continuously developing industrial relations, and both institutions strive for ongoing innovation and adaptation in education and research.

The Hansung University delegation visited Obuda University with the hope of identifying common interests between the institutions and exploring the possibility of establishing cooperation agreements. Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács presented the current activities and future goals of Obuda University. The welcoming committee included Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi, Vice Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Péter Galambos, Vice Rector for Innovation, Erzsébet Veres, International Educational Advisor, and Emese Baranyi, Head of the International Relations Office.



The Korean delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Lee Changwon, President of Hansung University. He emphasized their commitment to continuous innovation and their aim to educate talents with creative and integrated skills, as well as a strong sense of community. Other members of the delegation included Prof. Kim Jee-Hyun, Dean for International and Local Affairs, Prof. Kim Eun-Ju, Associate Dean for International and Local Affairs, and David Kim Il-Hwan, Director of International Programs and Student Services.



At the conclusion of the discussions, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács expressed his confidence that, in collaboration with one of South Korea’s prominent universities, joint programs in education and research could be developed, which would benefit a large number of students, educators, and researchers.
