Representatives from L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, one of Kazakhstan’s most prestigious higher education institutions, discussed educational cooperation at Obuda University. Prof. Dr. Baglan Togizbayeva, head of the Transport, transport equipment and technologies, and Associate Prof. Dr. Aliya Zabiyeva were received by Professor Dr. András Molnár, General Vice-Rector of Obuda University. The visitors discussed the dual degree program at the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering at OE.

OE signed a cooperation agreement with L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) last June. The document, signed by the two rectors, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács and Erlan Sydykov, proposed the initiation of educational and mobility collaborations.

During their visit, Prof. Dr. Baglan Togizbayeva and Dr. Aliya Zabiyeva from the ENU’s Transport, transport equipment and technologies discussed further opportunities for joint educational and research projects with Prof. Dr. András Molnár. They also discussed the dual degree program in the mechatronics master’s program with Prof. Dr. György Molnár, Dean of the Kandó Faculty.

OE currently has cooperation agreements with seven Kazakh universities: two in Astana, three in Almaty, one in Öskemen, and one in Karaganda. These collaborations involve student and faculty mobility as well as research and development cooperation. For the fall semester of 2024, several guest students from various Kazakh universities will be arriving at Obuda University, with six coming from ENU.
