The Digital Health Conference, a forum for professionals, developers, investors, and healthcare institution leaders working on digital health solutions, was held for the fifth time. Two colleagues from Obuda University, Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi, Vice Rector for Research, and Dr. Zsombor Zrubka, Head of the Health Economics Research Center (HECON), discussed goals, results, and solutions.
Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi, as the Head of the Innovation Management Doctoral School and the professional leader of the Thematic Excellence Program in Innovative and Digital Health Technologies Development and Evaluation at Obuda University, summarized the research results achieved within this program in his presentation titled “The Goals of Digital Health and the Measurability of Results.”
Among other topics, he discussed how the application of artificial intelligence in digital health can favorably influence clinical effectiveness and the ratio of effects to side effects in ways that were previously unimaginable. Medical goals may shift from slowing disease progression and reducing symptoms to achieving complete remission and preventing damage. Results can also appear in areas that previously received less attention due to the absence of digital health.
Dr. Zsombor Zrubka led a panel discussion on government digital health solutions, featuring participants such as Karolina Molnár, Deputy State Secretary for Strategic Affairs at the Ministry of the Internal Affairs, Dr. Zita Szondi, Deputy Director General for Primary and Specialized Care at the National Directorate for Hospitals, and Dr. Zoltán Ónodi-Szűcs, Commisioned Deputy Chancellor for Healthcare at the University of Debrecen. The discussion covered new government developments and their expected benefits, the legal background of these developments, and the opportunities presented by healthcare data assets and artificial intelligence.
