In a friendly atmosphere, representatives of Obuda University welcomed the delegation from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra on October 16th. The meeting focused on strengthening the long-standing collaboration between the institutions and exploring new opportunities for cooperation. Discussions included student exchanges within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, and an agreement was reached regarding the Pannonia Scholarship, which will provide further opportunities for continuing the cooperation.
Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra is one of Slovakia’s most prominent higher education institutions, with a strong emphasis on developing scientific and international relations. The university offers programs across several fields, with particular attention to the natural sciences, information technology, humanities, and pedagogy.
Obuda University was represented at the meeting by Dr. Viktória Sugár, Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Strategic Developments, and Dr. József Kopják, Dean of the Kandó Kálmán Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The Nitra delegation included Dr. Martina Pavlíková, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. František Petrovič, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics, and Prof. Dr. Roman Králik, Professor of the Department of Romanian and German Studies.
The collaboration between the two institutions has a long history, with dozens of students from both universities participating annually in the Erasmus+ program. The newly signed Pannonia Scholarship agreement further strengthens the professional and academic ties between the two universities, enabling even more students and faculty members to benefit from joint projects and study programs.
