The New Rectorial Term Begins with a Ceremonial Senate Meeting

On July 15, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács was appointed as rector for another five-year term. To mark this occasion, the Senate of Obuda University held a ceremonial meeting at the Museum of Fine Arts, where the rector outlined the tasks ahead for the institution and introduced his new deputies. Additionally, letters of appointment were handed over to new leaders.

“We must strengthen the achievements of the past five years of Obuda University in the next half-decade,” declared Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács at the ceremonial Senate meeting. He emphasized that one of the most important tasks is to reinforce the university’s investor-oriented approach, which should permeate from the high school education associated with the university through to the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs. This can be complemented by a system of grants and scholarships that encourage students to realize their ideas.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács introduced the new vice-rectors appointed as of July 15. He explained that the goal was to establish an organizational structure that could most effectively implement the objectives outlined in the rectorial strategy. Prof. Dr. András Molnár will be the Vice-Rector responsible for IT and quality assurance, Prof. Dr. Enikő Maior for educational affairs, Dr. Viktória Sugár for sustainability and priority investments, Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi for scientific affairs, and Prof. Dr. Péter Galambos for innovation.
