Additional Admission at Obuda University

Obuda University is announcing new programs and new training locations as part of the additional admission process. Young applicants can submit their applications for the bachelor’s program in Energy Engineering, as well as for the master’s programs in Structural Engineering and Sustainable Energy Engineering, until August 7. Additionally, they can now choose from our training location in Jászberény, as informed by Rector Prof. Dr. Levente Kovács. Beyond these, additional applicants can apply for programs offering marketable diplomas in the fields of engineering, information technology, and economics. The university offers state-funded places in several programs.

Obuda University provides opportunities for higher education through bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as higher vocational training, during the additional admission process. Applicants can apply to programs in engineering, information technology, natural sciences, economics, and education in Budapest, Cegléd, Salgótarján, and Székesfehérvár.

New Programs

The bachelor’s program in Energy Engineering will commence in September at the Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering in Budapest. After completing the seven-semester technical program, students will play a significant role in national energy supply. The Structural Engineering master’s program is offered full-time and spans three semesters. Graduates will be capable of independently handling technical development, research, management, and project management tasks related to structural engineering aspects of civil engineering facilities, as well as designing and consulting on complex and specialized engineering facilities.

The Sustainable Energy Engineering master’s program is a four-semester program offered part-time. Its goal is to train sustainable energy engineers who, with high-level scientific and specific technical knowledge related to electrical and thermal energy production, transmission, and distribution equipment and systems, can design, develop, and integrate new energy subsystems, equipment, and devices. Additionally, they will be suited for development tasks, coordination, and participation in basic and applied research tasks within the field. Graduates are also prepared to continue their studies in doctoral programs.

The popular Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s program will now also be available in Jászberény, in addition to Budapest.

It is important to note that only those applicants can apply who were not admitted to any selected program during the general admission process this year, or who have not applied for any program starting in September during this year’s admission process. In this procedure, applicants can only apply to one higher education institution and one program (both financing forms of the same application location count as one application location).

Applications can be submitted via the felvi.hu e-admission system by 24:00 on August 7, 2024, for both self-funded and, in certain cases, state-funded programs.
